It really is true ... the gut the heart and the mind/emotions are so interwoven.

It has been my experience and the experience of many of my students and essential oil customers that we forget to listen to our bodies, we become disconnected. 

Our bodies are full of such great wisdom. 

When was the last time that we listened to your gut instinct? When did you follow a hunch, even though it didn't seem to make sense?

There are so many magical moments if we follow our gut instinct, if we take a chance,  so many magical moments we miss because we are in the head, in the realm of rational thought, believing that it has to make sense.

Our bodies have innate intelligence, we are way more than our physical body, we have an energy field. We have energy running through us. We have energy in the universe. It all interacts it is like a grid surrounding us, connecting us all, and this grid also runs through the body, like electricity. We might not be able to see it, but it is there, communicating with us. 

If we neglect something or someone in our lives, it tends to be negatively affected. I have met so many people with digestive challenges, including myself. I am minus a gallbladder now! 

I have taken responsibility for making my gut feel happier, calmer, smoother. I love teaching  my community how to do this too. I have done ALOT of research, I even did a nutritionist course as well, to understand the body more.

The major part of my routine is using essential oils to calm my gut on a physiological level and also to soothe and balance my emotions. Our emotional state directly affects our gut health.

Did you know that there were more neural pathways from our tummy to our brain than there are from the brain to the tummy? There is more information going from the tummy up to the head, than the head downwards, how amazing is that?

 So why don't we give our gut the kudos that it deserves? It knows when we need food, it knows when we don't need food, it tells us when we need to nurture our immune system more, it warns us when we are overdoing it, it tells us when a food or drink isn't suiting us, on an energetic level, it can tell us when someone is going to call, when something exciting is about to happen. 

We forget to listen. I would invite you to start to listen to the gut, let it talk to you.

Start to write down hunches that you have, notice when you think of someones name and then they phone you, or message you, notice the ideas, the random thoughts that you get. Start to write them down and over time, you'll get used to how, what your body and what energy is saying to you. It's like learning a new language. You don't quite know what it means, but over time you get to decipher what you're tapping into. This might sound really far-fetched. And if it isn't for you, don't worry about it. You don't need to look at it.

In the podcast, I take you through a guided visualisation to help you reconnect. Maybe you could do this and make a pact or a pledge to your tummy, that you will start to listen to it more. You'll start to listen to it when it needs nourishment, when it needs a rest, when it gets overactive, maybe you can promise to slow your breath down.

Stress, busy lives, not enough sleep, feelings of stress and anxiety, a stressed immune system, can deeply impact the digestive system.
